Utah Republican Party Chairman James Evans urged congressional representatives to stop holding town hall meetings because of “acts of intimidation and violence” by groups like Indivisible. Virginia Rep. Dave Brat voiced similar concerns, suggesting that Indivisible members are a bunch of women “up in my grill no matter where I go.” Then there’s Orange County Congressman Dana Rohrabacher who claims the group is perpetrating “political thuggery” by sending postcards with inflammatory messages like “Roses are red, Violets are blue. We request a town hall or a new rep might do.”
